Background
After serving four years as an officer and programmer in the U.S. Air Force I got in on the ground floor of a start-up internet company. I was a jack-of-all-trades serving as the system administrator, database developer, designer and programmer. We brought our membership from a few thousand to over a million in only a few years. Then things changed. We sold the company and my wife got accepted into the Foreign Service. So we brought our family overseas to Poland, The Gambia and Halifax. As it's hard to keep a traditional job under such circumstances I started doing freelance internet development. And that's what I'm still doing today.
